Two Possibilities For Christianity Under Donald Trump

Given that Donald Trump in the most powerful position on Earth, unleashing terrible weapons against will and destroying every source of decent humanity in society, there are two conclusions people can come to about the Christian god:

1. The Christian god is real, and he is a total asshole

2. The Christian god is not real, and we’re allowing delusional sadists to destroy American democracy in order to pursue their fantasies

Neither one of these possibilities makes me want to have anything at all to do with Christianity.

The Christian god is supposed to be all powerful. So what are we supposed to think - that the Christian god purposefully is allowing Donald Trump to seize power, kill, and ruin human society… because of some kind of secret plan? That’s total bullshit. There is no secret plan.
