Donald Trump has stopped rules that protected gig workers from exploitation by companies like Uber and Door Dash. Trump wants to continue the shadow economy in which huge numbers of workers get paid as independent contractors when they are in all important respects employees.

No benefits. No job security. Low pay. That’s what the gig economy is really all about, and Donald Trump is protecting the big corporations that profit from this dirty arrangement.
