There are some liberal Christians who insist that Christian Nationalism is “fake Christianity”, some kind of heresy. The thing is that the majority of American Christians disagree with them.

Both groups call themselves Christians. So, who gets to decide which Christians are real and which ones are fake?

Christianity is what Christianity does. American Christianity put its support behind Donald Trump in both 2016 and 2020, with Christian churches campaigning for Trump and the majority of American Christians voting for Donald Trump twice.

American Christians have a new messiah. His name is Donald Trump.
