Rededicate to Separate Church and State
The legal issue is simple to understand.
The USA is not One Nation Under God, and it never has been. We need to rededicate to separate church and state.
On May 17, the 250th birthday of the United States, Donald Trump is going to hold an official federal government Christian ritual to “rededicate” the USA as “One Nation Under God”.
The United States is supposed to be dedicated to freedom and the rule of law. The highest law in the USA is the Constitution, which clearly states that the government cannot do anything to establish a national religion. As a secular democracy, the United States is not One Nation Under God. It’s supposed to be a nation where people are free to make whatever decisions they want to about religion, as individuals.
The Christian ceremony on May 17, 2026 is a ritual destruction of American democracy and law, replacing it with a Christian theocracy.
It’s worth noting that the people pushing for this Christian Nationalist theocracy are fascists who also believe in Nazi ideology of racial superiority and have plans to wage unprovoked wars to take force foreign countries to join the United States. These militaristic plans also fit with the blundering violent outlook of Adolf Hitler.
One Nation Under God is a fascist motto. One Nation Under God is Nazi ideology in the name of Jesus.
The United States of America does need to rededicate itself - but not to religious extremism. Americans need to rededicate to separate church and state.
