The Morality of Easter

The morality of Easter torture of Jesus and by Jesus

Jesus was crucified for 6 hours. That suffering was terrible, for 6 hours.

Then, in the Book of Revelation chapter 9, Jesus reveals his plan to torture all the non-Christians on Earth with terrible pain inflicted by terrifying monsters for 36,000 hours straight, with no mercy, even when they beg for death.

Christianity teaches that this torture by Jesus is righteous.

The Bible teaches that Jesus rose from the dead so that he can inflict this torture on others.

What is the moral throughline that makes sense out of contradiction?

The moral lesson of Easter is that whatever Jesus does to people is good, even if it causes people suffering.

The moral vision of Easter leads religious zealots to commit atrocities in the name of Jesus.

It’s the sadistic morality of Easter that leads Pete Hegseth to drop bombs on elementary schools in Iran as part of a Christian crusade, and feel that he has nothing to apologize for.
