The god of Christian Nationalism apparently thinks Donald Trump is the perfect kind of leader, and that terrifies me, because when Donald Trump gets someone underneath him, he enjoys causing them pain.
Of course, the Christian Nationalist god is not real. The issue is what real, flesh and blood Christian Nationalists intend to do to American democracy. They want to take away our freedoms, and force us to submit to their controlling and violent religion. I refuse to go along with this theocratic agenda.

The promise of the Statue of Liberty is that our diversity will be welcomed, and that we will have the freedom to follow our own desires. Separation of Church and State is at the foundation of that freedom. None of us are obliged to worship any one else's beliefs. We can follow our own. We can leave any religion behind at any moment, as equals in the American nation.
